Spring applications for onions are underway across the PNW. Onions are very susceptible to nematode damage, so a grower's best defense is managing nematodes before they become a problem.

In the PNW specifically, growers often use a blend of TELONE™ by Teleos soil fumigant and chloropicrin—the first to manage nematodes, and the latter to help with certain soilborne diseases, such as fusarium wilt and pink root (as seen in the photo).
